I bring ideas to life by bridging the worlds of digital creation and physical making. I love working alongside multidisciplinary teams to shape objects, systems, and experiences that feel intuitive, considered, and genuinely useful.

Background
James Cooper’s creative journey began with short films and stop-motion animations, spending hours disassembling objects and bringing them to life one frame at a time. On family holidays, he was always behind a camera, capturing moments and turning them into music videos or small visual stories. Making things never felt like a hobby - it felt like the most natural way to spend his time.
At school, he gravitated toward photography and design, gradually developing his own visual language. He has kept everything he has ever made, accumulating shelves full of models, experiments, and sketchbooks that document how his work has evolved.
He found his direction studying Design, where early experience with digital tools from filmmaking combined with a deep interest in three-dimensional form developed through the furniture and models he built at school. Industrial design became the meeting point of art and engineering — a place where ideas can become functional, meaningful artefacts.
His approach is simple: design something to be the best it can possibly be for the person who uses it. Don’t overcomplicate it. Understand the task, define the context, and create with clarity and purpose.
